Milntown Estate | Milntown Estate, Milntown, Ramsey, Isle of Man, IM7 2AB
Set in the beautiful parish of Lezayre, Milntown is the Island’s only Historic Estate and boasts 15 acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands which surround the magnificent mansion and café at its heart. The Milntown Estate is owned by the Milntown Trust, a charity established under the terms of the Will of its previous owner Sir Clive Edwards. The Trust is dedicated to running the Estate for the benefit and wellbeing of the Manx people and for visitors to the Isle of Man.
We aim provide all visitors to Milntown with a first rate visitor experience irrespective of whether your visit is to enjoy the gardens, tour the historic house, view our unique vehicle collection, attend one of our many events, stay in our beautiful apartments or to just sip a coffee or dine in our Café.
Nestled within the picturesque Milntown Estate are three charming self-catering apartments. Accommodating up to four guests each, Skyhill and Altadale boast two double rooms, while Lezayre features a double room and a bunkbed room.
The apartment and surroundings were superb. Precise instructions for finding and entering the property made life very easy. The location was well situated with a bus stop right outside, this meant you could get around the island and leave the car in the allocated parking spot. Ramsey town centre only a 15 minute stroll. The town centre also had the electric railway station which meant the tram to Laxey and Douglas was readily available. The gardens and surrounding walks made the whole stay very enjoyable.
The apartment is light, airy and modern with access to the Milntown Gardens at any time. It is a beautiful place to stay within walking distance of Ramsey centre
Our apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. Miltown was very easy to find and the setting is gorgeous. We loved the fact that we could walk round the beautiful gardens. The location is easy walking distance to Ramsey and local amenities.
Location was great as were the gardens, very peaceful and quiet with good kitchen facilities and comfortable bedrooms
I loved everything about the property especially the garden setting.. l loved how you were left to enjoy your break. I loved being able to cook although the menu looked amazing at the property we made food in the amazing kitchen. The property was perfect, clean, spacious with great views. We definitely be booking again to enjoy this beautiful Island.
Just had the most GORGEOUS queenie linguine today at the Cafe – wow the best queenies I’ve tasted in a long time. Thanks you for such a wonderful lunch!
Just had a lovely’s afternoon at Milltown. Just managed to get round the fantastic garden before the rain started. House tour was great and very enlightening of the estates history followed by tea and creamed sconce. Thanks to all for making this a very enjoyable afternoon.
Really comfortable, great views, quiet area, only 15 walk to Ramsay, everything provided, car parking space for each apartment, beds very comfy & shower very powerful.
This is one of my favourite places on the island, the food is always delicious and very reasonably priced. All staff are so pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. The gardens are spectacular no matter what time of year you visit I would recommend Milntown to everyone, visitors and locals alike you won’t be disappointed.
Had a wonderful afternoon tea was so relaxing and the food was wonderful and plenty of it and was happy to give me a box to take what I could eat home with me, everything was super fresh and delicious
