Despite a weekend of changeable spring weather, the Easter celebrations at Milntown Gardens proved to be a resounding success, with more than 400 children visiting the gardens to take part in this year’s much-anticipated Golden Egg Hunt.
Families from across the Island embraced the adventure, exploring the gardens and following the Easter trail in search of hidden eggs. Young participants eagerly collected stamps along the way before claiming their well-earned prizes at the end of the trail—bringing smiles, excitement, and a real sense of achievement.
The Golden Egg Highlights
Each day brought an extra layer of excitement, as a special Golden Egg was hidden somewhere within the gardens. The lucky children who discovered these elusive treasures were rewarded with extra special prizes, making every visit unique and memorable. The daily hunt quickly became a highlight of the event, with anticipation building as families set off to see who would be the day’s golden winner.
Come Rain or Shine
While the weather was a little unpredictable at times, it did little to dampen spirits. Visitors made the most of the gardens between showers, enjoying the fresh spring atmosphere and everything the event had to offer.
A Wonderful Community Turnout
The event brought together families, friends, and visitors for a joyful celebration of Easter and the arrival of spring. Seeing the gardens filled with laughter and activity was a wonderful reminder of the important role community events play at Milntown.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s Easter treasure hunt such a success. We hope to welcome you back to Milntown Gardens again soon for more seasonal events and family-friendly experiences.
